If Steam Remote Play is not working for LEGO® Party!, switching to the Steam Client Beta should resolve the issue:
- With Steam running, click on "Steam" in the upper left, then choose the "Settings" menu. (Preferences on Mac)
- On the "Interface" tab under "Client Beta Participation" select the dropdown menu
- Select the "Steam Beta Update" from the drop down list
- You will be prompted to restart Steam, please select the "Restart Now" button

Once Steam has restarted, you can now set up remote play:
- Launch LEGO® Party!
- Start a local lobby.
- Press SHIFT+TAB on your keyboard to open the Steam overlay.
- Click the “friends” option.
- Right click on the Steam friend you would like to play with.
- Under LEGO® Party!, click “Remote Play Together”.
- Your friend should receive a Steam notification with the invitation to join your game.
- Make sure that the friend joining the game has a controller attached, as local multiplayer with two keyboard players is not supported.
- The friend should press “A” (or equivalent) on their controller to join the lobby.
- Have fun playing together!
